Not necessarily. If you have strong financial acumen, business experience, and the drive to work strategically with business owners, we provide the training, systems, and support you need to excel. Many of our partners come from commercial finance, operations, or consulting backgrounds. We do, however, insist you have 10+ years of experience at a senior level so you can deliver with credibility and expertise.
We’re backed by the ASV Wadeson Group, a respected mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm, currently at 31st in the AFR Top 100 (2024 ranking). When ASV Wadeson acquires new firms within the financial and professional services sector, we all benefit – mostly our clients! Our CFO On-Call partners are encouraged to forge relationships with the accountants, financial advisors, brokers, planners, and lawyers within the group to help open doors to their client bases.
It depends on the scope of work and your preference – the model is flexible, and you set your own schedule. Some partners prefer a few high-value clients, while others enjoy a larger number of smaller engagements. We even have partners happy with just one well-paying client.
For example: The average fee per client is $4,500 – $5,000 per month. For a client in this range we would expect it to take 2 – 2.5 days per month. If you’re working full time on fee paying clients of this size, you could manage approximately 8 clients per month working at full capacity.
We provide all partners with qualified leads by consistently investing in national digital marketing campaigns and brand exposure. We also coach you in local marketing efforts and work with you to develop a sustainable pipeline. Networking and leveraging on your business connections greatly helps you to succeed.

Training is ‘self-paced’ via access to training materials online and generally takes about a week to complete and combines online modules, live sessions, and mentoring.
